Pittsburgh's The Cynics were around long before garage rock's current buzz, crest and backlash were swelling in the press. The steadfast four-piece have been making garage-y noise since the late '80s, and their latest release Living Is The Best Revenge, is a testament to why they've been around for so long. Revenge is crammed with all the great garage-rock fixins: The Sonics' howls, the nod to elders (a cover of the 13th Floor Elevators‘ "She Lives (In A Time Of Her Own)", and lots of janglin', loose hangin', good-time rock 'n' roll.
